Yesterday was a great day for Nigerians worldwide! It's been 19 years since we've won the cup so Nigerians were understandably very excited.

Going into the game, I did not expect Nigeria to get a walk in the park. Those Burkina babes are quite physical and organized and they could have produced better results with Ghana if not for their poor finishing technique. Nigeria is obviously technically better and beating Ivory Coast sort of made many believe that we had the cup in the bag.
Watching the game was nerve wrecking as high stake soccer games usually are. Even after the wonderful goal by Sunday Mba, there was a huge miss by Victor Moses in the 52nd minute and another in the 85th minute. We definitely could have walked away with a 5-1 victory if we better converted our chances.
Anyways, we still won and I expect African Footballer of the Year nominations for many of our eagles.
