This week's Reminiscing Mondays post is sort of different. This week we reminisce about two advocates who were in the news a few years ago for their bravery and ingenuity. In 2009, Chioma and Oluchi Onwuegbu decided that it was time to change people's perceptions about Africa by travelling across Africa.
The girls had a really rewarding experience and were embraced by Africans around the continent who embraced them and their story with open arms. They travelled to Ghana, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Mali, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Cameroun, Cote d'Ivoire, Guinea, and Sierra Leone. One of their goals was to give African youth a sense of hope for their continent.
Reading their blog it appears that they experienced many obstacles in obtaining corporate sponsorship to continue their journey.
