I love it when I start the day off with good news!! MBC has confirmed that they will produce a sequel to Dae Jang Geum, about 10 years after it was originally aired.
Hunan TV, the first Chinese broadcasting station to air Dae Jang Geum in 2005, has agreed to invest in and air the sequel. MBC has not released an official production date, but reports say that they are hoping to begin production next year with a possible summer premiere. How freakin' awesome is that?! At the moment, there's no word on if Lee Young Ae and Ji Jin Hee will be in the sequel, but I am hoping so. There is no Dae Jang Geum without Lee Young Ae and Ji Jin Hee #truestory!
