Tuesday Tips: Color Blocking 101

For today's Tuesday Tips, we are doing something unconventional. Fashion 101 of some sorts, also called color blocking. Color blocking essentially means working with the color wheel and combining loud and vibrant colors.

Things to note:
Complementary colors: Colors which are on the opposite sides of each other. Creates a contrasting effect.

Analogous colors: Colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. Usually blends in together.

Triadic color scheme: Any three colors that would form a triangle

Tips for Color Blocking:

1. It is important to note that when using 3 bright colors to create an outfit, you don`t have to use all 3 on clothes. You could use the less dominant color in your accessories.

2. Stick to 2 – 3 colors
3. Pair it with plain neutrals such as black or brown
4. Avoid wearing bright pieces on trouble areas, such as your thighs or stomach.
5. Know the color wheel and play with colors!!
