This is what TMZ is reporting! Jason Russell was detained for masturbating in public and vandalism and is (or was) in the psych ward for evaluation
According to TMZ, The CEO of Invisible Children, Ben Keesey says "Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition. He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday. Jason’s passion and his work have done so much to help so many, and we are devastated to see him dealing with this personal health issue. We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time.”
The pictures are quite graphic, so I won't be posting them here. However, although I do not support the KONY 2012 movement, my thoughts and prayers are with Jason Russell and his family. I sincerely believe that his intentions for co-founding Invisible Children was good. As the film maker of the video, he undoubtedly has come under a lot of pressure, and this probably got to him.
I hope we can keep our views and judgement aside, and pray for his well being!
